The Maryland Judiciary has appointed Judge Yolanda L. Curtin as the new county administrative judge for the Circuit Court for Harford County, following the elevation of Judge Angela M. Eaves to the state’s highest court. Judge Curtin, who has served on the Harford County bench since 2013, brings with her decades of legal and judicial experience, including prior roles as an assistant state’s attorney, administrative law judge, and active member of numerous judicial committees focused on equity, access, and technology.
A respected leader and community advocate, Judge Curtin is also a long-time member of the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association, where she has served in mentorship and leadership roles. She has been recognized for her commitment to diversity, public service, and legal education — and now steps into a position that oversees court operations, budgets, and the efficient handling of cases for the county. Judge Curtin expressed gratitude for the appointment and emphasized her dedication to continuing the legacy of leadership set by Judge Eaves.
